Biomedical Projects
Below are links to all of the biomedical projects that my group and I have completed during class. We used LabView, a Sensor DAQ, the given probes, and the provided LabView tutorials to make, create and design all the programs on the links below. Over the course of many weeks we learned the ins and outs of LabView and how to work with all team members regardless of the difficulties.
Analyzing the Heart with EKG- For this project my group and I had to design a program using the Vernier software that measured a persons heart rate. Unlike the other projects we had no steps to look off of and had to make a program from scratch.
LabView Tutorials- In this project we used different types of probes (temperature, sound etc.) that connected into the Sensor DAQ so we could design a program on Vernier to measure things like the frequency of a sound or someones body temperature.
Introduction to LabView- This assignment was the very first thing we had ever done with LabView/ Vernier, I was given steps to make programs that would calculate things such as the Pythagorean Theorem. These mini programs were meant for me familiarize with LabView and Vernier so, later on I could use them for more complicated things.
The Heart with EKG- This project was meant to measure a persons heart rate and be able to understand certain things, like what an undefined P wave could mean when dealing with actual people.
Introduction to EMG- In order to learn about EMG's my group and I tested the amount of movement that persons jaw would make when chewing harder or softer foods, compared our results to other groups and answered the given questions.
